Dr. Prasad is a board-certified internist currently practicing at Maris Grove Senior Living Community in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, where he cares for the residents of the community. He began practicing here in January of 2012. Prior to his current endeavours, the doctor was employed by Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Mercy Catholic Medical Center an Mercy Fitzgerald Campus. Mercy Catholic Medical Center’s Mercy Fitzgerald Campus is a 188-bed teaching hospital, offering advanced acute care services in Delaware County and Southwest Philadelphia. It is a part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, which is the largest Catholic healthcare system serving the Greater Philadelphia area.

Additionally he was employed by VITAS Innovative Hospice, providing hospice care to an inpatient unit, as well as outpatient care. He joined the company in May of 2007 and resigned in December of 2018. He was also the Medical Team Physician for the Camden Riversharks from 2009 until 2011, providing care to professional baseball players.

Dr. Prasad earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania in 2002. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Before long, he became board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They are skilled in the management of patients who have undifferentiated or multi-system disease processes. They also care for hospitalized and ambulatory patients and may play a major role in teaching and research.

In his personal life, Dr. Prasad’s favorite place to vacation is almost anywhere in the Caribbean. He also enjoys spending time with his son and twin daughters. He enjoys sports such as baseball, football, and basketball. He is a big fan of all Philadelphia sports teams.
