Originally from Russia, he received his medical degree from the Russian State Medical University in 1980. After relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in anesthesiology at the SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in 1997.
Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in anesthesiology through the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
Over the following 25 years, Dr Chernov was functioning at the capacity of a Clinical Site Director at two major healthcare institutions in New York – Mount Sinai Medical Center and Montefiore Medical Center. In 2021 Dr. Chernov received the title of an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology.
Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery. It encompasses anesthesia, intensive care medicine, critical emergency medicine, and pain medicine.
