A seasoned obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Villa tends to patients at her private practice – Letty M. Villa, MD, LLC – located in Coral Gables, Florida. With over four decades of experience, she is devoted to delivering individualized, professional, and compassionate gynecological care. 

Offering various gynecological services from initial gynecological exam through menopause and more, her practice strives to meet the individual needs of every patient by engaging in a welcoming and caring environment. Dr. Villa’s goal is to provide patients with engaged medical care based on joint confidence and communication resulting in long-lasting relationships.

Before embarking on her professional journey, she graduated with her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine in 1980. She then went on to perform her residency in obstetrics and gynecology with the University of Miami/Jackson Health System.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), Dr. Villa is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Furthermore, she is board-certified in general surgery and complex general surgical oncology by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida, Dr. Villa is affiliated with the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics-UHealth Tower and Baptist Hospital of Miami.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
