Setting a solid educational foundation for his medical career, Dr. Brimberry graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Arkansas in 2005. He then went on to earn his medical degree from UT Health San Antonio in 2009, after which he performed his residency in family medicine at John Peter Smith Hospital, where he honed his skills and expertise from 2009 to 2012.
Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Brimberry is a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and a board-certified Hospice Medical Director.
For years, he has helped patients navigate the symptoms of terminal cancer, ALS, muscle spasticity, and other severe life-limiting diseases. In 2019, he was one of the first physicians to be certified by the state of Texas to provide access to medicinal cannabis for conditions related to palliative medicine.
