A skilled dermatologist, Dr. Rotter is affiliated with Palm Beach Dermatology, which has been serving patients in and around Palm Beach County for over twenty years. They are a full-service dermatology and dermatological surgery practice with special emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.
Originally from Maryland, he received his medical degree from the University of Maryland College Park, before embarking on a transformative two-year general surgery residency at the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.
The pivotal turning point in Dr. Rotter’s career occurred when he decided to delve into the intricate realm of dermatologic surgery. Choosing to further his expertise, he undertook a residency in dermatology at the renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital. His commitment and proficiency in the field were evident as he rose to become the Chief Resident of dermatology.
To refine his skills and broaden his knowledge, he pursued a highly competitive fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. This intensive training solidified his position as a distinguished expert in the field of dermatologic surgery.
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in dermatology through the American Board of Dermatology, which is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.
Maintaining fellowship status, Dr. Rotter is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), and the American College of Mohs Surgery (FACMS).
Prior to moving to the sunshine state, he was the owner of a private practice in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Over the course of 30 years, he not only built a thriving practice but also founded the only state-licensed outpatient surgical hospital dedicated exclusively to skin cancer surgery in Virginia.
