Get to know Physiatrist Dr. Danielle M. Shoreman, who serves patients in Denver, Colorado.

Dr. Shoreman is a skilled physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with subspecialty training in palliative medicine. She works with patients at Denver Health Medical Center.

Denver Health delivers preventative, primary and acute care services. It is committed to making its community a healthy place to live, work and raise a family. Founded in 1860 as City Hospital to serve the health care needs of the rapidly developing city of Denver, it has grown alongside the community to become a complete health care system, proudly providing care for all residents — at every point in their lives.

Licensed to practice medicine in Ohio and Colorado, Dr. Shoreman is affiliated with various hospitals, including the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, The Christ Hospital, and University of Colorado Hospital.

Alongside her clinical work, she serves as an Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado School of Medicine – Anschutz Medical Campus.

In regards to her educational background, Dr. Shoreman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Miami University. She earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine and completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at The Christ Hospital.

Following her training, the doctor attained board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation & hospice and palliative medicine through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). The mission of the ABPMR is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This is accomplished through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.

Physical medicine and rehabilitation, also known as physiatry and physiatrics, is a branch of medicine that aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities. Physiatrists treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons.
