Get to know Family Physician Dr. Vanessa M. Dufault, who serves patients in Warren, North Dakota.

A professional and caring family physician, Dr. Dufault joined the staff at North Valley Health Center.

North Valley Health Center, located in Warren, Minnesota, is a primary care medical facility consisting of a Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic built on a history of providing compassionate, quality care to residents of Northwestern Minnesota for over one hundred years. It provides: family and specialty care, procedures, inpatient care and swing bed, physical therapy, imaging and laboratory services, 24-hour emergency room, and a variety of other medical services.

Born and raised in Argyle, Minnesota, Dr. Dufault has years of experience as a family medical doctor. She graduated from the University Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1998 and later attended the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, where she graduated with her medical degree in 2011. 

After completing her residency in family medicine in San Antonio, Texas, she attained board certification through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
