Get to know Allergist-Immunologist Dr. Ronald Cox, who serves patients in Texas.

A top-rated allergist-immunologist, Dr. Cox works at Greater Austin Allergy, practicing out of the offices in Four Points, Round Rock, and Bastrop, Texas.

He takes great care to listen intently to his patients as they discuss their symptoms, what they have tried, what has worked, and what hasn’t. Dr. Cox asks open-ended questions in an effort to get his patients to think about things they may have previously missed with other allergists. For his undergraduate degree, Dr. Cox attended Sterling College in Kansas, graduating cum laude. He then pursued his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

At Mt. Carmel Medical Center, Dr. Cox completed both an internship in general surgery and a residency program focused on the study of internal medicine. He followed these programs with two fellowships at the Wilford Hall Medical Center, where he specialized in allergy and immunology & diagnostic laboratory immunology.

A Diplomate of both the American Board of Allergy and Immunology & the American Board of Internal Medicine, he is a member of professional organizations including the American College of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and the Travis County Medical Society.

Having served in the Air Force as an allergist and previously owning a private practice in Ohio, Dr. Cox brings years of experience to Greater Austin Allergy. Patients visiting him can receive a full range of care for allergy and immunological issues. He provides general allergy consultations and treatment for specific issues and illnesses.

Licensed to practice medicine in Texas and Ohio, he is affiliated with Ascension Seton Smithville Hospital and Rockdale Hospital.

Allergy and immunology involve the management of disorders related to the immune system.
