Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Michlene Broadney, who served patients throughout the State of Georgia.

Dr. Broadney is an obstetrician-gynecologist who was affiliated with Southern Crescent Women's HealthCare, serving patients in Fayetteville and Stockbridge, Georgia. She recently retired from practice due to an acute exacerbation of a chronic back problem.

Back in the early days of her academic career, she graduated with her medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine in 2000, and completed her residency in obstetrics & gynecology with AMITA Health in 2004.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), the doctor was board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada. 

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
