Get to know Gastroenterologist Dr. Janet R. Reiser, who serves patients in Scottsdale, Arizona. 

Dr. Reiser is a gastroenterologist serving Scottsdale and the surrounding communities. She is affiliated with Scottsdale Gastroenterology Associates – a practice offering consultations and treatment, and endoscopic procedures. Consultations are offered for a wide variety of GI disorders and concerns. Also, we emphasize getting healthy and sometimes the concern may be about how to optimize health, rather than to specifically address a problem. Women's issues in Gastroenterology are an area of interest. 

In regards to her education, Dr. Reiser earned her medical degree at the Columbia University College of Physician and Surgeons. She went on to complete an internship at the University of Michigan, a residency at the University of California, and a fellowship at the Bronx VA and Mt. Saini Hospitals. 

Additionally, Dr. Reiser is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine focused on the digestive system and its disorders. Diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract, which includes the organs from mouth to anus, along the alimentary canal, are the focus of this specialty. As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Reiser performs colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures and provides accurate and thorough care for patients suffering from digestive issues. 

During her time in the field, Dr. Reiser has added extensively to the knowledge of the field. She has written two book chapters, four abstracts, and seven papers.
