Get to know Internist Dr. Nikhil Agarwal, who serves patients in Cedar Park, Texas.

Recognized as a skilled internist, Dr. Agarwal is proficient in treating all common and complex adult medical problems. His areas of particular interest include diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, dementia, stroke, heart disease, and geriatric care – to name a few

Since 2018, he has been serving as the lead physician at WellMed at Cedar Park in Texas. His mission is to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and respectful primary care services to adults and their families promoting sound health, quality of life, and dignity.

Back in 2004, Dr. Agarwal graduated with his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in India. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to perform his residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins/Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland in 2008.

Licensed to practice medicine in Texas, the doctor has served as a Medical Director for hospice programs and long-term care facilities in the past. He has also attained board certification in Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Thriving in his field, he is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the Texas Medical Association.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Among his philanthropic endeavours, Dr. Agarwal is a supporter of Plan International USA, an international development and humanitarian nonprofit that partners with supporters, adolescent girls, and children around the world to overcome oppression and gender inequality with dignity, opportunity, and safety.

On a more personal note, he speaks both English and Hindi. Loves to play racquet sports, listening to music and reading in his free time.
