He is the Area Director of Plant Operations at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fredericksburg in Virginia.

Bringing over two decades of experience in acute care hospital experience to Fredericksburg, Dr. Ball joined the Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth, Fredericksburg team in August of 2014 after relocating from HealthSouth Mountainview Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. He has served as the Safety Committee Chairperson for Encompass Health for the last four years. 

A 2001 graduate of Meharry Medical College School of Medicine, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

On a more personal note, Dr. Ball is a native of California where he ran a successful landscape business for 15 years.
