Get to know Dr. Viviane B. Ackad, who serves patients in Newark, New Jersey. 

Dr. Ackad is an Internist serving Newark and the surrounding communities. She is affiliated with Newark Beth Israel Medical Center – a 665-bed quaternary care, teaching hospital, founded in 1901, that provides comprehensive health care for the region. Staffed with more than 800 physicians, 3200 employees, and 150 volunteers, their hospital is able to provide patients and their family with the quality care they need. 

Dr. Ackad earned her Medical Degree (MD) from Ain Shams University in 1982. She went on to complete internships in El Demerdash Hospital in 1983 and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in 1995. She also completed residencies in El Suez General Hospital in 1990 and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in 1998. 

Internal Medicine is a discipline focused on the care of adults emphasizing use of the best medical science available in caring for patients in the context of thoughtful, meaningful doctor-patient relationships. As an internist, Dr. Ackad is skilled in the management of patients who have undifferentiated or multi-system disease processes. She cares for hospitalized and ambulatory patients. 

With over 30 years of experience in the field, Dr. Ackad has treated thousands of patients, both in the US and abroad. She speaks both English and Arabic.
