Dr. Oshiyoye is a hospitalist and family physician in Martinsburg, West Virginia. He is affiliated with Berkeley Medical Center, which is a part of the WVU (West Virginia University) Health System. WVU Health System is a not-for-profit corporation and West Virginia’s largest healthcare provider. Their mission is to improve the health of West Virginians and all they serve through excellence in patient care, research, and education.

Dr. Oshiyoye is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Dr. Oshiyoye is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM). The SHM is an American membership society for hospitalists, that is, physicians and other caregivers who practice the specialty of hospital medicine. The society is focused on supporting the hospital medicine industry and individual hospitalists.

Dr. Oshiyoye received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2007. He then went on to complete his residency in family medicine at Underwood Memorial Hospital.

Hospital medicine in the United States is the medical specialty concerned with the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients. Physicians whose primary professional focus is caring for hospitalized patients only while they are in the hospital are called hospitalists. Family medicine (FM), formerly family practice (FP), is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages; the specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. As a hospitalist and family physician, Dr. Oshiyoye is licensed to practice medicine in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
