Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Deya Dafashy, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.

A Texas-based obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Dafashy is in practice at Women’s OB/GYN Center, working with patients in the Pasadena and Webster areas. He has an interest in menopause and hormone replacement therapy, infertility, tubal reversal surgery, prolapse, and urinary incontinence. His patients know him as a kind and skilled doctor with a quirky sense of humor.

With a broad educational background, he completed his medical education at the University of Cairo Faculty of Medicine in 1986. He trained both in England and the United States, doing research in infertility medicine, and had his training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Chicago and the Indiana University Medical Center.

An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Achieving fellowship status, Dr. Dafashy is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), and a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FRCOG).

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

In his free time, Dr. Dafashy enjoys tennis, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and spending time with his family and grandchild.
