Get to know Internist Dr. Jacqueline F. Cain, who serves patients in Kingston, Pennsylvania.

As an osteopathic physician in internal medicine, Dr. Cain is in practice with Commonwealth Health Physician Network – Family Medicine, Internal Medicine – Kingston.

Commonwealth Health Physician Network’s internists are trained in adult medicine and care for adolescents and adults with a wide range of health concerns, from common illnesses to complex, chronic medical problems. Academically, Dr. Cain graduated with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1988. She then went on to perform her rotating internship at Union Memorial Hospital in 1989, followed by her residency in internal medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in 1992.

Excelling in her field, she is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBIM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults.

Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania, Dr. Cain is affiliated with Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

In honor of her clinical expertise, Dr. Cain is the recipient of Patients’ Choice Award (2008, 2009, 2014) and On-Time Doctor Award (2014).
