Earning her undergraduate degree from Manhattan College, Dr. Ortiz went on to graduate with her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1993. She performed her internship and residency in pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., where she served as chief resident.

Prior to joining Bardonia Pediatrics Associates, PC in July of 2006, she was an attending and an Assistant Clinical Professor at The Children’s Hospital of New York/Columbia University for 9 years. There, she taught pediatric residents and coordinated several community outreach programs. 

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Ortiz is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents.
