Dr. Johnston is affiliated with several healthcare facilities, including HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Springfield Memorial Hospital, and Taylorville Memorial Hospital, allowing him to offer a diverse range of services to patients in the region. His extensive training and experience enable him to provide holistic care that addresses not only the physical but also the emotional and psychological well-being of his patients.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Johnston serves as an Assistant Professor at the SIU School of Medicine, sharing his expertise and passion for osteopathic medicine with the next generation of healthcare professionals. Dr. Johnston earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from A.T. Still University, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016. Following his graduation, he completed a rigorous residency in family medicine at the Center for Family & Community Medicine at the SIU School of Medicine from 2016 to 2019. His commitment to the principles of osteopathic medicine, which emphasize a whole-person approach to healthcare, is evident in his practice.

As a Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, Dr. Johnston holds board certifications in both Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.
