A fellowship-trained pulmonologist, Dr. Mehta can be found on staff at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida. He diagnoses and treats patients who suffer from respiratory or breathing problems such as asthma and COPD.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Mehta graduated with his medical degree from B. J. Medical College in India in 1979. He then further his education with a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Oak Forest Hospital of Cook County in 1987, a residency in internal medicine at Advocate Health Care in 1990, and a fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at St Elizabeth’s Medical Center in 1993.

A pulmonologist is an internal medicine physician who specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions and diseases that affect the lungs, bronchial tubes, and the respiratory system, including the nose, pharynx, and throat.
