Currently serving the United States Department of Veterans Affairs in the capacity of Medical Director of the Post Deployment Clinic (PDC). I serve United States veterans from the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Space Force. My focus is to provide Post Deployment Health Services which includes intertwining of Primary Care, Military Medicine, Tropical Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Environmental Health. The PDC in collaboration with the Post Deployment Health Services (PDHS), Compensation and Pension Department (C&P) and the War Related Illness Injury and Study Center (WRIISC), East Orange, New Jersey coordinates the completion of 6 registry exams. They are listed below: 1. Air Borne Hazards and Open Burn Pit Registry (AHOBPR) 2. Depleted Uranium Follow up Program (DU) 3. Toxic Embedded Fragments Surveillance Center (TEFSC) 4. Agent Orange Registry (AOR) 5. Gulf War Registry (GWR) 6. Ionizing Radiation Registry (IRR) In addition sub-registries completed via history taking and evaluation are: 1. Operation Tomadachi Registry 2. Qarmat Ali Water Treatment Facility Registry (Hexavalent Chromium) 3. Blue Water and Brown Water Navy 4. Veterans exposed to Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA) and Weaponized Toxic Industrial Chemicals (wTICs) 5. Camp Lejeune, North Carolina Exposures (Trichloroethylene-TCE, Perchloroethylene-PCE, Vinyl Chloride and Benzene) 6. Fort McClellan Army Installation, Alabama Exposures (Cesium-137 and Cobalt-60) 7. Per-and Polyfluroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Exposures 8. Karshi Khanabad (K-2) Air Base/Camp Stronghold Freedom, Uzbekistan Exposures.
In addition to the above I am an internist practicing in Minneapolis, Minnesota specializing in Internal Medicine, Environmental Health and Military Medicine. I act as a primary physician and a consultant to a primary physician and manage common and rare diseases. I provide comprehensive care and manage treatment with surgeons as well. As an Internist, I establish long-term relationships with patients and incorporate disease prevention and mental health care into their care.
