Dr. McKenzie earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences – College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996. He then went on to complete an internship and residency in general surgery at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York. Dr. McKenzie also completed general surgery residencies at Lincoln Hospital Trauma Center and Montefiore Medical Center, also in the Bronx. In addition, he completed residencies in general surgery at Babies & Children’s Hospital of New York in New York City, as well as at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey. Dr. McKenzie also completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at the Cleveland Vascular Institute in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. McKenzie is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, the New York Society of Osteopathic Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Cleveland Vascular Society. Additionally, he is a founding member and Director of Physicians for Humanity.
