Write ReviewPatient Experience with Dr. Kuan
- Cynthia v.
Review of James Kuan, an excellent surgeon. On two different occasions I have had a urologic procedure done by him that was unnecessarily painful because he would not use topical anesthetic, even though I had asked for it. The lack of anesthetic caused my significant pain. I have had similar procedures done in other urologists offices and they used topical anesthetic and the procedures didn't hurt a bit. Additionally, the doctor who used topical anesthetic was able to take a longer and more thorough look at my tissues because I was not squirming with pain. I like Dr. Kuan and I miss him as my doctor every day; but in my opinion there is no excuse for causing a patient unnecessary pain.
