Austell, GA – Dr. Vidya Soundararajan, MD, FACOG, MSHMI, an esteemed obstetrician‑gynecologist at Wellstar Cobb Hospital, continues to elevate women’s health care in Georgia through her leadership in robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques. With more than 25 years of service and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care, Dr. Soundararajan remains at the forefront of advancing outcomes for women across metro Atlanta.

Dr. Soundararajan is recognized across the region for her expertise in robotic-assisted procedures, including minimally invasive myomectomy and hysterectomy. Her work with the da Vinci® Surgical System has helped significantly reduce recovery time, minimize scarring, and limit postoperative complications for her patients. Her focus on innovation and precision allows her to provide individualized treatment that emphasizes safety, comfort, and long-term health outcomes.

She earned her medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and served as Administrative Chief Resident at Washington University School of Medicine. Early in her career, she received multiple accolades for clinical excellence and teaching, including the Annual Student Research Symposia Science Award, the Berlex Laboratories Resident Teaching Award, and the “Best Second Year Teaching Resident” honor. Dr. Soundararajan is board certified and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Since joining Wellstar and previously the Douglas Women’s Center in 1999, Dr. Soundararajan has been providing comprehensive care to the Austell community. She sees patients at 1791 Mulkey Road, Suite 200, where she offers services ranging from prenatal care and contraception counseling to bone density testing and management of conditions such as endometriosis and fibroids. Her compassionate approach and clinical expertise have earned her the trust and loyalty of patients from across the state.

Dr. Soundararajan was recently featured in a video spotlight recognizing her as one of the top OBGYNs in Georgia, further solidifying her reputation as a leader in women’s healthcare.
