The doctor’s journey into medicine began after he obtained his medical degree from the Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in India in 1989. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to perform his residency in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.
From there, Dr. Solankhi completed his fellowship in cardiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. He then completed his fellowship in interventional cardiology at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia.
In regards to his noteworthy accomplishments, he is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
