Female issue
There are several things you can do to help with the pain until the outbreak is over. 1. Use a peri-bottle to pour warm water over the genital area when you are urinating. This will dilute the urine and make is less painful. 2. If you are at home, you can fill the bathtub with enough water to cover the genital area and urinate in the tub. Wash the area gently and rinse the tub when you are done. 3. Witch Hazel pads are available over the counter and may help a bit. 4. You can request 2% lidocaine gel to apply topically to the affected area to numb it up prior to urination. READ MORE

If you are pregnant, regardless of how far along you are, you should call and see your OB doctor to determine if there is anything to be concerned about. READ MORE
Pregnancy
At 38 weeks of pregnancy, there is a lot of pressure in the pelvis all the time, and contractions start to pick up. It is difficult to know if it is false labor or real labor unless your water breaks, especially if it is your first pregnancy. You should either go into the hospital Labor and delivery triage area to be evaluated or your OB's office. READ MORE
Missed period & negative pregnancy test
You are not likely pregnant, however, if you want to confirm that, you can see your GYN or a walk in clinic to be tested. The condition you have is anovulatory menstrual cycles. This means that you are not developing and releasing an egg (follicle) regularly each cycle. Since this has been going on for some time, you may need to see your GYN to do some testing and possibly start you on medication to help you ovulate regularly. READ MORE
Pain in ovary area
The pain can be coming from several things. 1. Even though you had a Hysterectomy, your ovaries are still going through the normal hormonal cycle and producing follicles (eggs) monthly. The pain could simply be from ovulation or ovarian cyst development. This is a normal part of the ovarian cycle and is when your body has an LH surge that causes the egg to be released. READ MORE
Pregnancy
Unfortunately, there is no way to answer this question without taking a pregnancy test. The symptoms could be from something else, like a urinary tract infection, but you need to rule out a possible pregnancy before you do anything else. READ MORE
Am I pregnant?
It is certainly possible that you are either very early in pregnancy or now, due to the bleeding, an early miscarriage. The only way to know what is going on is to have a blood test called a Quantitative Beta HCG. READ MORE
Nexplanon implant
It looks like there may be a developing infection starting especially if the area is raised and/or feels warm to the touch. If not, there may be some deep bruising in the area. You should contact your doctor's office to be seen by an MD or go to an Urgent Care to be seen there as you may need antibiotics. READ MORE
Herpes or bv?
It may be impossible to know without someone doing an exam on you and collecting some vagina cultures, a Wet Prep, and possibly even some blood work. However, with painful sores on the Vulva, the first concern would be an HSV infection which would require antiviral medication. READ MORE
Can I take pain medications for headaches during pregnancy?
You can always take Tylenol throughout the pregnancy and can take ibuprofen from 12-32 weeks. Anything stronger should be discussed with your OB provider. READ MORE
