Growing up in southwest Houston, Dr. Asaduddin obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin, then earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. His first year of residency in internal medicine took place at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. After finishing his residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, he then moved to the northern suburbs of Chicago, where he worked as a hospitalist at the Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals, admitting and managing patients, as well as mentoring residents in training.
After working in the Aurora, Illinois, area for a few years, during which time he was part of a committee focused on improving electronic medical record systems, Dr. Asaduddin returned to his home city of Houston to open Katy Internists.
