Get to know Internist and Geriatrician Dr. Saurabh Gulati, who serves patients in Stockbridge, Georgia.

Dr. Gulati is a board-certified and fellowship-trained internist and geriatrician who can be found on staff at Piedmont Henry Hospital, which is a 215-bed not-for-profit, community-based hospital delivering high-quality care to the community of Stockbridge, Georgia. 

In his professional experience, the doctor is also affiliated with several other hospitals that are a part of the Piedmont Healthcare network, including Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, Piedmont Fayette Hospital, and Piedmont Newnan Hospital. 

After graduating with his medical degree from St. George’s University in 2011, Dr. Gulati relocated to the United States. There, he completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in geriatric medicine at SUNY at Stony Brook in 2014 and 2015, respectively. This was followed by a fellowship in geriatric medicine at McMaster University in 2016. 

He is board-certified in both internal medicine and geriatric medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Geriatrics, or geriatric medicine, is a specialty that focuses on the health care of elderly people. It aims to promote health by preventing and treating diseases and disabilities in older adults. A geriatrician is a doctor who specializes in care of the elderly and the diseases that affect them.

In addition to English, Dr. Gulati speaks Hindi and Punjabi.
