For more than 30 years, Palms West Hospital has provided healthcare excellence in western Palm Beach County. The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. In regards to her training, she completed a three-year fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, OH. Additionally, she has satisfied the maintenance of certification requirements for both Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine to date. 

Dedicated to her profession, Dr. Cayco-Bell is board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics, which is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certificate is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence. 

Pediatric emergency medicine is a medical subspecialty of both pediatrics and emergency medicine. It involves the care of undifferentiated, unscheduled children with acute illnesses or injuries that require immediate medical attention. While not usually providing long-term or continuing care, pediatric emergency physicians undertake the necessary investigations and interventions to diagnose patients in the acute phase, to liaise with physicians from other specialities, and to resuscitate and stabilize children who are seriously ill or injured. They generally practice in hospital emergency departments.
