Dr. Gholson’s academic journey culminated in the attainment of her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006. Subsequently, she completed her residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, refining her skills and expertise in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine. Her dedication and proficiency have earned her certifications in addiction medicine and family practice, recognized by the AOA Board of Family Physicians and the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons.
An active member of prestigious medical associations including the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP), Dr. Gholson is also a Fellow of the American Osteopathic Association of Addiction Medicine (FAOAAM).

Since February 2023, Dr. Gholson has been serving as an Adjunct Professor at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine’s D.O. program, which trains physicians for a lifetime of learning and practice based upon the integration of evidence-based knowledge, critical thinking, and the tenets of osteopathic principles and practice.
