As a hospitalist, Dr. McIntosh manages the clinical problems of hospitalized patients and the acutely ill, while working to improve the performance of the hospital. Dr. McIntosh works in collaboration with all of the different doctors that are working with the patient. Hospitalists are involved in the diagnosis, treatment and medical procedures of patients. Dr McIntosh also works as a Physician Advisor when off clinical assignments.

An excellent hospitalist, Dr. McIntosh serves the communities of Lynchburg, Richmond, Midlothian, and other cities in Northern Virginia.
The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her medical degree from The St. George’s University School of Medicine in 1999. She completed her internship at the Grenada General Hospital in 2000, and her residency in Internal Medicine at the Long Island Community Hospital in Brooklyn, New York in 2006. She also completed a fellowship as a clinical tutor in the departments of Histology and Neuroscience at The St. George’s University School of Medicine prior to her Internal Medicine Residency Program.
An expert in her field, Dr. McIntosh is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), Dr. McIntosh is an active member of the American College of Physicians. She has also received Excellence Awards for exceeding patient expectations.
