Get to know Internist Dr. Mo Alhezayen, who serves patients in Frisco, Texas.
Dr. Alhezayen is a board-certified internist experienced in both inpatient and outpatient medicine. He is the CEO & Founder of ATA Healthcare & Wellness in Frisco, Texas.
ATA Healthcare & Wellness is breaking the standard medical mold and is quickly becoming a leading provider in the fields of primary care, aesthetics, and integrative therapies. This dual practice clinic has the unique ability to attend to a full spectrum of patient needs, including primary care, as well as aesthetics and integrative therapies. The clinic is unique in the fact that it offers two very different entrances, and two very different treatment approaches, depending on the individualized patient’s wants and needs.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Dr. Alhezayen became one of the youngest physicians in his class. He decided to open ATA after many of his hospital patients wanted to continue their care with him. He named the clinic respectably after his father, Dr. Ata Alhezayen, now a retired physician.
Born and raised in the middle east, Dr. Alhezayen came to the United States in 1995, right after graduating from high school. He immediately enrolled in a 7 year expedited MD program at The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington DC.
He graduated from medical school in 2002 as one of the youngest in his class. He then went on to complete an internal medical residency program at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
At the age of 27, the doctor became board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
A strong patient advocate, Dr. Alhezayen was led by his vision of opening this clinic to provide a multitude of one-stop services to his patients after multiple requests. His vision has always been to provide quality, affordable care to every patient and to treat each patient as though they are family.
Enjoying inpatient medicine, Dr. Alhezayen has been working as a hospitalist for the last 14 years. He is licensed and has cared for patients in many different states. He is currently licensed in Arizona and Oklahoma in addition to Texas, and has Advanced Cardiac, Pediatric and Advanced Trauma Life Support certifications.
Having been in the DFW area since 2011, he has worked in many different hospital systems. He has cultivated an extensive network of physicians in many other specialties to help his patients find the care they need. Dr. Alhezayen currently provides medical consults for surgical and trauma patients at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano. He divides his time between that and ATA Healthcare and Wellness clinic.
Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Alhezayen enjoys spending time with his family. He loves sports, especially playing soccer. He is also a big fan of FC Dallas, the Mavericks, and the Cowboys.
