New York, New York – Angelo Ostuni, DDS, MD, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, is making waves in the field of oral surgery with his extensive skills and unwavering commitment to patient care. Known for his proficiency in a variety of surgical procedures, Dr. Ostuni specializes in dental implants, advanced bone grafting, jaw reconstruction, wisdom tooth extractions, and both adult and pediatric dental extractions. His expertise extends to intravenous and inhalation anesthesia techniques, impacted tooth exposure, jaw surgery, and the management of oral infections and pathology. The practice focuses on outpatient surgery with an emphasis on digital and implant dentistry, bone grafting and regeneration, dentoalveolar surgery, facial trauma repair, jaw surgery, Botox (Cosmetic and Therapeutic), and benign pathology. An early adopter of digital technology, a specific focus is present on digital surgical planning, guided surgery, 3D printing, and prototyping.

Dr. Ostuni earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the prestigious Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he laid the groundwork for his exemplary career. He then completed an intensive six-year Oral Surgery Program at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, a leading institution affiliated with Columbia University, graduating in 2008. Following his residency, he served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University, shaping the future of dental professionals until 2009.

In pursuit of further expertise, Dr. Ostuni traveled to Italy, where he expanded his knowledge as a surgical research fellow at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan. Additionally, he honed his skills at the Ostuni MD – Center for Plastic Surgery in the beautiful Puglia region. This international experience has enriched his practice and enhanced his ability to provide cutting-edge care in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Upon returning to New York, Dr. Ostuni joined a multi-doctor group practice as an associate surgeon while simultaneously establishing Carnegie Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a state-of-the-art facility in New York City. His practice is dedicated to providing advanced surgical solutions in a comfortable and patient-centric environment. 

Dr. Ostuni currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor at Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Clinical Instructor at the Mount Sinai Hospital in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He maintains admitting privileges at NY Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia) and the Mount Sinai Hospital, further solidifying his role as a leader in the field.

Active in several professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the American Dental Association, and the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Dr. Ostuni demonstrates his dedication to ongoing education and excellence in patient care.
