Alongside her clinical role, she serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is also the Faculty Supervisor of Dermatology in the Family Medicine Residency Program at Valley Hospital Medical Center.
After earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from the University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Michaels went on to further her training. She completed her internship and residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center, where she served as chief resident.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD) and a Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology (FAOCD), the doctor is board-certified in dermatology by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology (AOBD). The AOBD is an organization that provides board certification to qualified DOs who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the skin.
