Get to know Geriatrician Dr. Leonardo A. Gan-Lim, who serves patients in Las Vegas, Nevada

Dr. Gan-Lim is a top geriatrician at MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also on staff at Medical Group at Sun City in Las Vegas, Nevada, and maintains hospital privileges at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Gan-Lim graduated in 1988 from the Far Eastern University Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation in Manilla. He then served his internship at the Metropolitan Medical Center in Manila, Philippines (1988-1989). Upon relocating to the United states, he served his residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus (1992-1995), followed by his geriatric medicine fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center (1999-2000). Dr. Gan-Lim also trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes Jewish Hospital (2000-2001). 

Over the years, he was honored with the Patients’ Choice Award (2017, 2015, 2014, 2013) and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2017, 2016, 2014) by vitals.com. Dr. Gan Lim is licensed to practice in Nevada.

Geriatrics, or geriatric medicine, is a specialty that focuses on health care of elderly people. It aims to promote health by preventing and treating diseases and disabilities in older adults.

On a more personal note, Dr. Gan-Lim speaks both English and Tagalog.
