Dr. Ferraro is a nephrologist & internist with over 30 years of experience. He is currently serving patients at the Arizona Kidney Disease & Hypertension Centers (AKDHC) in Phoenix, Arizona. AKDHC is one of the nation’s largest groups of physicians specializing in the care of patients with renal disease including chronic kidney disease (CKD), vascular access management, dialysis, transplantation, and clinical research. Since 1976, AKDHC has enjoyed the trust and respect of the community and has grown to provide services throughout Arizona. Their goal is to provide the most advanced treatments and state-of-the-art technologies with compassion and care.

Dr. Ferraro earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1981. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in 1984. Wanting to further his education, Dr. Ferraro went on to complete fellowships in nephrology and hypertension at the University of Michigan Medical Center in 1989.

Dr. Ferraro is board-certified in both nephrology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
