She has a vast knowledge and experience in endocrinology including diabetes mellitus and metabolism, thyroid disorders, adrenal and pituitary disorders, calcium and bone metabolism, and osteoporosis. Back in 2004, Dr. Bursheh received her medical degree from the Jordan University of Science and Technology. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in internal medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she also served as Chief Resident. Finally, she completed her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York, with hands-on training in bench and clinical research in diabetes and obesity.
Subsequent to her education, the doctor attained board certification in endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Besides being a member of prestigious societies like the Endocrine Society and the Obesity Medicine Association; she has multiple publications in reputable medical journals. She is also part of the teaching staff in the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center residency program.
