Get to know Pediatric Dentist Dr. Rachel Witcher, who serves patients in Pensacola, Florida.

Dr. Witcher is a board-certified pediatric dentist currently affiliated with Kids’ Dentist in Pensacola, Florida. She believes an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and stopping cavities before they even start is the best way to keep her patients happy and healthy. 

Her specialty training involved growth and development of an infant through adolescence. She believes recognizing conditions that can affect development of teeth and jaws are integral to oral health and overall health.

Growing up in Byrneville, Florida, Dr. Witcher graduated from Northview High School and still reminisces on the glory days of softball champs and homecomings. She acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of West Florida, graduating with honors, and went on to graduate from the University of Florida with a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree, followed by two additional years of training in pediatric dentistry. She worked as a pediatric dentist near the University of Florida for a while before returning to Pensacola.

A Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, she is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry dealing with children from birth through young adulthood. Pediatric dentists are dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the young adult years. They have the experience and qualifications to care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout the various stages of life.
