Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Osita V. Ezeakudo, who serves patients in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Dr. Ezeakudo is a remarkable, fellowship-trained pediatrician in practice with Dupont Pediatrics in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Tending to patients from newborns to 19 years of age, Dupont Pediatrics has the experience and compassion to handle all of a child’s health needs. From well-child checkups/immunizations to sick visits and chronic condition management, the practice focuses on educating patients and their families about their long-term physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

A graduate of the University of Benin, School of Medicine, Dr. Ezeakudo completed his residency training at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. He then went on to complete his fellowship in neonatology and perinatology at Schneider Children’s Hospital Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. In addition, he completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at Harlem Hospital Center of the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York.

Committed to his profession, the doctor is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. He is also a past board member for the March of Dimes in Fort Wayne.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. As a pediatrician, Dr. Ezeakudo provides medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. He is trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all their developmental stages, as they grow and mature. 

Recognized as an authority in his field, Dr. Ezeakudo has been honored with several awards and recognitions, including the Patients’ Choice Award (2016), the On-Time Doctor Award (2016), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2015), the Top Doctors Award in Fort Wayne (2011), the Ann E. Dyson National Certificate of Recognition for Excellence in Community Pediatrics, and a Certificate of Recognition for Tireless Effort and Dedication Service to the Children of Harlem.
