Dedicated to addressing a broad spectrum of obstetric and gynecological concerns, his specialization lies in pregnancy, childbirth, and reproductive system disorders. Dr. Balaya employs state-of-the-art equipment and advanced treatment methods to provide the highest level of care.
Wyoming County Community Health System has been serving Wyoming County and the surrounding area for over 110 years and continues its commitment of providing outstanding healthcare services for the rural community. The County-owned health system consists of a 62-bed acute-care hospital with a 138 bed skilled nursing facility in Warsaw, New York that provides 24-hour emergency care as well as a full range of specialty healthcare. Services include family and internal medicine, orthopedics and podiatry, women’s health, a 12-bed distinct part inpatient mental health unit, neurology, endocrinology, outpatient dialysis, general surgery, and a variety of other specialty services.
In regards to his educational background, Dr. Balaya received his education in Syria and earned his Medical Degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University in 1996.
Subsequently, he made the transition to the United States, where he continued his medical studies at the University of Buffalo. Dr. Balaya furthered his medical training by completing his residency at Buffalo’s Women and Children’s Hospital, which is now known as Oshei Children’s Hospital, where he was honored with the Chief Resident Teaching Award in 2012.
