Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Melinda Ann Frame, who serves patients in Mobile, Alabama.

Dr. Frame is a caring obstetrician-gynecologist in practice at Mobile Ob-Gyn in Alabama.

“I have always desired to be an educated and compassionate physician that strives to make patients feel important and understood. Recently the tables were turned and I experienced life from the patient side. I have three beautiful children. The most recent delivered here at Providence in April of 2019. I am amazed how much stronger my connection with my patients has grown since becoming a mother” expressed the doctor.

Born and raised in Martin, Tennessee, she completed her undergraduate education at the East Tennessee State University in 2006, and graduated with her medical degree from the James H. Quillen College of Medicine in 2010. After relocating to Georgia, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Memorial Health – Mercer College of Medicine in 2014.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, she is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Continuously advancing her efforts, Dr. Frame is an active member of the American Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the Georgia Obstetrical Gynecological Society, the Tennessee Medical Association, and the Christian Medical Dental Association.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

As a testament to her success, Dr. Frame has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2018, 2017, 2016, 2015), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018, 2017, 2016, 2015), and On-Time Doctor Award (2015).
