There are 100 different techniques in the profession, many that are gentle and extremely safe. With a complete history and evaluation, a doctor will be able to determine the best course of care. • Does improving your posture hurt?

In my 35 years of experience, I have never witnessed improving posture hurting. It does take effort. I do natural holistic treatments, to dramatically reduce the amount of time it takes to correct posture. Also utilizing an upper back - shoulder support helps to reinforce proper posture. READ MORE

  • Is it too late to fix your posture?

It is absolutely not too late to correct your posture. Spinal care can determine if you have a vertebra or two misplaced that is the source of your slouching. It would not take an extended amount of time to re-align the spine to support good posture. Also, it is important to look at the back muscles to see if they need strengthening or stretching. I personally, would do a few emotional adjustments to reinforce proper alignment. READ MORE

  • Can chiropractors adjust feet?

Yes. There are many situations in which adjusting a tarsal bone or heel can alleviate symptoms. Athletes respond exceptionally well to foot adjustments. READ MORE

  • Can a chiropractor help with plantar fasciitis?

Maybe. Sports chiropractors may help with your foot problem by checking for a misalignment in your arch. Some chiropractors offer therapeutic modalities to eliminate soft-tissue pain. Some chiropractors do arch support analysis and may order orthotics if needed. Yet if it was me, I see a podiatrist who specializes in foot injuries. READ MORE

  • Should I stretch after a chiropractic adjustment?

If you exercise too much, your muscles will get tight. If you don't exercise enough, your muscles will tighten up. Stretching is smart. But often a chiropractic adjustment may take up to 24 hours to fully integrate. It would be wise to start your stretching routine a day after an adjustment. READ MORE

  • Can a chiropractor fix pelvic tilt?

Yes. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule. A good healthcare practitioner will be honest with and if any red flags appear, he or she will tell you. It could be an alignment posture issue, it could be a muscular imbalance, or structural. The solution approach will be natural without any side-effect complications. READ MORE

  • My daughter is having scoliosis pain?

That's an interesting question. The quarantine time required is two weeks. After that, as long she appears fine, then it is safe for her to see her chiropractor who will be wearing a mask, as well as everyone else in the office. READ MORE

  • How long do chiropractic hip adjustments last?

As you know, everyone is different. Every situation is different, even if the symptoms are similar. As a 23 year old, a hip adjustment should last for a long time, unless you're a world-class hurdler that is continuously stressing the joint. READ MORE

  • How do I know if I have sciatica or hip pain?

Without an x-ray, history, and complete examination it can be dubious to be absolutely sure. Sciatica is typically a pain that radiates from the lower back down the thigh to a leg. Hip pain typically is isolated to a butt. READ MORE

  • Can a chiropractor adjust a child's rib pain?

  • Can sleeping on your side cause scoliosis?

Interesting question. I've been in practice for 35 years, & doubt sleeping on your side can cause scoliosis. READ MORE

  • Can chiropractors help anxiety?

Yes, doctors of chiropractic help people with anxiety. Adjusting the spine helps to release anxiety & stress. That's basic spinal care. Holistic chiropractors, like myself, take it a step further. There are natural techniques in chiropractic that release emotional and trauma issues. There are techniques to help with hormonal balance and nutritional deficiencies. READ MORE

  • What is the difference between a herniated disc and a bulging disc?

Good question. Between the vertebra that make up the spine are discs. The discs are like a cushion or sponge between the vertebra, that act like shock absorbers. Due to injury primarily, the discs can be hurt. If it is a compression type injury, the disc can be squeezed and it protrudes out. If the injury is severe enough, the disc can break causing a rupture or herniation. Herniation is serious. READ MORE

  • What is the treatment for bursitis in the shoulder?

Bursitis is inflammation of the bursa sac around the shoulder joint. Although, there are six bursas around the shoulder joint. Typically, electrical stimulation is used to decrease inflammation, and very gentle mobilization to reinforce full range of motion of the shoulder joint. Since motor control of the upper extremity comes from the neck, it is important to check proper neck alignment. It should be healed in 3 to 6 weeks with this natural approach. READ MORE

  • Should I see a chiropractor for back pain?

Yes. Chiropractic or spinal care is the primary choice for back pain. Of course, there are a few exceptions. If there is cancer or fractures, chiropractic is contra-indicated. I once did a missionary tour with medical doctors to Nicaragua, and saw many people with chronic back pain. Most of the people got immediate relief. READ MORE

  • Is chiropractic care good for kids?

  • Is massage therapy good for TMJ?

A massage might be beneficial, since muscles surround the temporal-mandibular joint. When I first started as a Chiropractor, I would adjust the TMJ and apply physical therapy modalities to release pain. As time went on, I learned how to help TMJ without manipulation and quickly. Today, I can fix TMJ fast and gently. READ MORE

  • Can a chiropractor help with a fractured vertebrae?

I can't speak for the entire profession, but only myself. I would refer to an Orthopedist, if I found a fracture or if a patient told me, she has a stress fracture. READ MORE
