Misha Faustina, M.D., FACS Assistant Professor Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences Brief Bio • Dr. Faustina is currently the Director of Oculoplastic Services, specializing in disease and surgery of the eyelid and brow, the boney eye socket (orbit) and the tear drainage system. She is also the Director of Medical Education for the Department of Ophthalmology, creating a Ophthalmology Residency Program at UMass and designing medical student curriculum. • Dr. Faustina received her M.D. from Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN. She completed a general surgery internship at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C., followed by ophthalmology residency at State University of New York- Downstate Medical Center Health Science Center Brooklyn, and a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, as well as an externship in Austin, Texas with John Shore, M.D., the then President of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS).
