Cheryl R. Pendergrass, MD, is the Medical Director of Hospice at Americare Hospice and Palliative Care in Mesa, Arizona. She is leading the team as their Hospice Physician, making home visits to their patients and at the in-patient unit to manage their pain and symptoms. Not only does she direct the overall plan of care for their patients, she is also a resource to the other Hospice Team Physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

Before embarking on her professional journey, Dr. Pendergrass earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona Medical College at Tucson in 1997, and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Arizona Medical College at Phoenix in 2000, and has been practicing medicine since then. She also works part time as a Hospitalist at Banner University Medical Center.
