A 1984 graduate of the University of Bologna – Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Dr. Ruda relocated to the United States to further his education. Once there, he served his residency in pediatrics at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.

Following his education, he became board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, which is primarily accountable to children, from infants to young adults, and their families as it guides professional self-regulation and certifies pediatricians. 

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. As a pediatrician, Dr. Ruda provides medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. He is trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all their developmental stages, as they grow and mature. 

On a more personal note, Dr. Ruda is an avid photographer and enjoys traveling the world.  He lives in Holmdel with his wife of 35 years, Suzanne, where he raised his 4 children. In addition to English, he is fluent in Italian.
