Get to know Family Physician Dr. Abdul Nawabi, who serves patients in Simi Valley, California.

An established family physician, Dr. Nawabi is the Owner & Medical Director of Abdul Nawabi M.D. INC. in Simi Valley, California. He has created a practice that he believes in and treats his patients as though they were his own family members.

Nawabi M.D. INC. is a full-service family practice clinic that believes in working with patients to maintain and improve their health. Its mission is to provide personalized, high-quality care on an as-needed or preventative basis. 

Having been caring for patients and living in Simi Valley since 1993, Dr. Nawabi works to serve the entire family for all of their medical needs in all stages of life. He believes in providing comprehensive health care services to his patients in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. He also believes in educating patients as he works with them to achieve the best physical state possible. 

Licensed to practice medicine in California, he is affiliated with Simi Valley Hospital and Los Robles Hospital.

Educated in India, Dr. Nawabi graduated with his bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree and medical degree from Indira Gandhi Medical College in 1986. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in family medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Possessing years of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

From 1993 to 2000, Dr. Nawabi practiced medicine with the Family Health Care Medical group. From 2000 to May 2015, he practiced medicine with Alamo Hills Medical Group. 

He decided to leave Alamo Hills Medical Group and open his own solo medical practice called Nawabi M.D. INC. after Alamo Hills Medical Group was acquired by Simi Valley Adventist Hospital. He wanted to continue to care for his patients as he had done so for the past 22 years, by providing quality and convenient services but in a more private setting.   

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. 

In conjunction with Dr. Nawabi’s passion and desire to provide the ultimate in patient health and personal care, he is equally dedicated to his family and interests. He is married with two sons and one daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, entertaining, and going to the Laker games. He also speaks four languages, including Persian, English, Hindi, and Urdu.
