The VA Caribbean Healthcare System provides services to a population of 150,000 Veterans in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In FY 2008, the VA Caribbean Healthcare System registered 66,955 unique patients with 11,428 inpatient treated and provided 927,072 outpatient visits at all clinic areas in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Graduating with her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 1994, Dr. Matos went on to further her training. She performed her residency in psychiatry and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Puerto Rico in 1998 and 1999, respectively.
Licensed to practice medicine in Puerto Rico, she has nearly three decades of experience in the field of medicine.
