George M. Seremetis, MD, FAAP, FACS, is a committed pediatric urologist currently affiliated with Children’s Urology, seeing patients in the Austin and Cedar Park areas. Dr. Seremetis is a board-certified urologist with subspecialty certification in pediatric urology. He is in practice with Children’s Urology with convenient locations in Austin and Cedar Park, Texas.
He has held many leadership positions at Dell Children’s Medical Center, including Chief of Surgery and Chief of Staff. He is also active in Peer Review for the hospital, and is the Urology Director for the Spina Bifida Clinic.
Academically, Dr. Seremetis received his undergraduate degree at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He obtained dual masters degrees in Biostatistics and Physiology at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He also obtained his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Following two years of general surgery training at Dartmouth University in Hanover, New Hampshire, he joined the International MedCorp and spent a year in Pakistan. He completed a residency in urologic surgery at Dartmouth University and an advanced training fellowship in pediatric urology at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
An authority in his field, Dr. Seremetis is board-certified in urology and pediatric urology by the American Board of Urology, whose mission is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, as well as to work with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care.
Maintaining fellowship status, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Additionally, he is a member of the American Urological Association, the Society for Pediatric Urology, the Society for Fetal Urology, the American Academy of Pediatrics-Section of Urology, the Travis County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the Austin Urological Society.
Pediatric urology is a surgical subspecialty of medicine dealing with the disorders of children’s genitourinary systems. Pediatric urologists provide care for both boys and girls ranging from birth to early adult age. The most common problems are those involving disorders of urination, reproductive organs, and testes.
