With a love for people, Dr. Hakym is a skilled dentist working at The Dental Center in Houston’s Texas Medical Center. Her expertise encompasses dental knowledge, an innate sense of harmony and beauty, and proficiency in the latest techniques and technology, allowing her to craft beautiful and healthy smiles for her patients.

For Dr. Hakym, healing is a calling. She comes from a long line of doctors, with over 30 physicians in her family, many of whom practice in the greater Houston area. She firmly believes that an elegantly designed smile is key to achieving one’s optimal and most youthful appearance.

Dr. Hakym graduated with honors from UTHealth Science Center School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. She also has a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the prestigious University of the Philippines Dental School. Her academic journey was marked by numerous accolades, with mentions in the National Dean’s List, All-American Scholars Awards, and the prestigious Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Award.

Dr. Hakym successfully established a renowned cosmetic dental practice in California’s Silicon Valley area. Driven by a passion for dentistry and its holistic healing benefits, she became a favorite cosmetic dentist among Silicon Valley’s prominent stars, thanks to her extensive experience, training, and attentive patient care.

Continuously in search to improve her knowledge and technique, Dr. Hakym has completed extensive continuing education in occlusion, dental aesthetics, full mouth rehabilitation, root canal treatment, Invisalign, and lasers.

On a professional level, she is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hakym enjoys baking, aerobics, watching movies, interior decorating, and spending time with her son.
