Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Brian Welsh, who serves patients in Texas.

A prominent obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Welsh is affiliated with Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Throughout his academic career, he earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2011, and completed his internship at the East Tennessee State University College of Medicine in 2012. He then went on to complete his residency in obstetrics & gynecology at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2015.

Following his education, the doctor attained board certification in obstetrics & gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, cervix, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

In his free time, Dr. Welsh enjoys going on vacation in the mountains.
