Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Nanci Bucy, who serves patients in Missouri. 

A Missouri-based obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Bucy practices at Heartland Women’s Healthcare of Advantia. She sees patients at the offices in Lake St. Louis and Wentzville, Missouri.

Licensed to practice medicine in Missouri, she is affiliated with SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital-Lake St. Louis, Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, SSM Health DePaul Hospital-St. Louis, and SSM Health St. Joseph-St. Charles.

 A native of Oklahoma, Dr. Bucy completed her undergraduate degree at Oral Roberts University (Cum Laude). She then went on to earn her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1989.

With over 20 years of experience, she is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG). The AOBOG is is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) who specialize in the care of the female reproductive tract and children during the course of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period (obstetricians) and to qualified DOs who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the female reproductive tract (gynecologists).

Remaining up to date in her field, Dr. Bucy is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the St. Louis GYN Society, and the American Osteopathic Association.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

The oldest of eight children, Dr. Bucy moved to St. Louis in 1990 with her husband and 2 kids. She enjoys numerous crafts including quilting, scrapbooking, and card making. In her time off, she enjoys being a member of the Beautiful Hat Society and spending time with her grandchildren – Makenzie, Madison, Shjon, and Phoebe.
